FWIW, the Clark buzzer beater was in Iowa City, in the regular season. OSU knocked IU out of the BIG tourney that year with a massive comeback against a gimpy Holmes.

Ahhh yes that's right, got those end-of-season games mixed up. The online version of the story should now be updated!

And as mentioned previously their schedule might help keep them at the top of the conference...or shred them.

Seems like they have all their best opponents at a rocking & filled Assembly Hall, which is a recipe for putting a marquee win or two on the wall. But it also means there are no freebies as the "easier" opponents will be faced on the road.

I'm quite excited for Beaumont & LaMendola to make a Sophmore leap. They both showed flashes last year, and a summer in the gym gaining confidence under this development program should do wonders.

To me they feel like an old school men's Virginia or Wisconsin team. They are going to be very balanced and tough and deep and consistent with 50 different ways to hurt you. Just a giant damn pain in the ass for everyone they play. But...probably don't have that true next level difference maker to vault them into the stratosphere. High floor but only moderately high ceiling.

I think that's a good comparison. Unless Garzon has a big leap in her as far as volume goes, I agree that this group is more likely to be extremely rock solid and annoying to play without an ideal No. 1
