It's still stunning to me how bad Wisconsin has been for so long. No NCAA Tournament wins since 1996. Last Tournament appearance in 2010. Heck, not even a winning final record since 2011.
I'd maybe understand if they were in a recruiting wasteland, but Wisconsin produces plenty of great players. Even if you don't keep a KK Arnold or Allie Ziebell home, there still should be enough talent to do better than this.
As an Iowa fan I'm not exactly hoping for them to get it right, but it shouldn't be this hard to approach the middle of the conference.
Not to be all negative, but speaking of behind the scenes controversy...where there any reprocussions at Nebraska?
Maybe Amy Williams was cleared, but it also feels a bit like the university didn't want to deal with a problem at one of their lesser programs with an alumni in charge.
Totally fair question, and I don't really have an answer from what I know unfortunately. The last I heard of it was a denial of claims in the lawsuit, but I never heard anything about findings or settlements or anything. Definitely a chance they, like you said, are just hoping it will get swept under the rug but maybe findings will eventually come out
